If you are about to use any subscription apps, there are some eligibility requirements set by Shopify.
If your shop doesn't meet eligibility requirements, we'll show an "Eligibility requirement" section on the homepage of Subify, and you can change payment settings by clicking on the "Set up Payments" button.
If you don't see this section, it means your store is eligible to have the subscription purchase option:
What are the subscription eligibility requirements?
βPayment Gatewayβ is one of the most noticeable limitations set by Shopify. To use subscriptions, you must be using one of the following gateways as your payment gateway:
Stripe, which is only available to some merchants
(If you do want to see if your business is eligible to enable Stripe through Shopify, you can reach out to Shopify's live support to have this request escalated. Follow this link: Shopify Help Center)You can also use accelerated checkouts such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal to purchase subscriptions.
You can't use local payment methods such as Klarna, mollie iDEAL, and Sofort to purchase subscriptions.
You manage all your store's payment methods in the βPayment Providersβ section of Shopify admin.
Also, subscription products are only supported on the Online Store and Custom Storefront sales channels.
