The campaign statuses in Discounty play a crucial role in managing and tracking your discount campaigns. This section provides an overview of these statuses, their descriptions, and their significance. Understanding these statuses will help you effectively monitor and optimize your campaigns. Let's explore the campaign statuses in Discounty.
Draft
A campaign with the "Draft" status is in the initial stage of creation. It indicates that the campaign has been created but is not yet finalized or ready for activation. You can make changes and adjustments to the campaign settings before proceeding.
Queued
The "Queued" status means that the campaign is in line to be processed and activated. It indicates that the campaign is awaiting its turn to be processed by the system.
Processing
During the "Processing" state, Discounty identifies the eligible products based on the defined filters and calculates the number of variants that meet the campaign criteria. This step occurs before the actual discount is applied to the products.
Adding discount to products
This status indicates that the campaign is in the process of applying the discount to the relevant products one by one. The system is updating the prices of the specified products to reflect the discounted amount. The numbers displayed in parentheses, such as (530/1000), represent the progress of the discount application. In this example, 530 out of 1000 variants have already been discounted.
Reverting to original prices
This status indicates that the campaign is in the process of removing the discounts and reverting the prices of the affected products back to their original values. The numbers displayed in parentheses, such as (470/1000), represent the progress of the discount removal. In this example, 470 variants remain to be reverted to their original prices out of a total of 1000 variants.
Live
A campaign with the "Live" status is active and running on your store. It means that the discount or offer associated with the campaign is currently applied to the eligible products. Customers can take advantage of the discounts offered by the live campaign.
Expired
When a campaign reaches its specified scheduled end date, it transitions to the "Expired" status. It indicates that the campaign is no longer active, and the discount or offer associated with it is no longer applied to any products.
Disabled
The "Disabled" status indicates that a campaign has been deactivated by the merchant. It means that the discount or offer associated with the campaign is not applied to any products, and it is not visible to customers. Disabled campaigns can be re-enabled if you decide to run them again.
Scheduled
The "Scheduled" status means that the campaign is set to become active at a future date and time. It indicates that the campaign is not currently live but will automatically start to transit to the "Live" status at the scheduled time.
Needs upgrade
The "Needs upgrade" status signifies that the campaign needs an upgrade to proceed. In Discounty, each plan has a specific limit on the number of variants that can receive discounts. For example, free users are able to discount up to 100 variants, while basic users can discount up to 1000 variants, and so on. If the campaign includes more variants than the merchant's current plan allows, the status will be "Needs upgrade" until the merchant upgrades their plan to accommodate the required number of variants.
Action required
The "Action Required" status is triggered when using the automatic discount code mechanism for campaigns that involve a minimum quantity or tier-based discounts. Shopify imposes a limitation on the number of active automatic discount codes, allowing a maximum of 25 codes at a time. If creating a new campaign would exceed this limit, the status will be set to "Action Required." In such cases, you need to deactivate some existing discount codes in Shopify to ensure compliance with the limitation. Once the necessary discount codes have been deactivated, you can proceed to activate the campaign successfully.
